Home Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today said there is no security threat centering Eid-ul-Azha and all necessary steps have been taken to ensure a safe and smooth journey for home-goers.

Speaking after visiting Shahjahanpur Cattle Market, Kamlapur Railway Station, and Mohakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka, he said law enforcement and armed forces will maintain strict patrols to prevent crimes on roads and highways.

He warned against overloading buses and overcharging passengers, and instructed legal action against those violating traffic safety rules.
