Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds across much of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9am on Sunday.

In its daily bulletin, the Met Office said light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning and gusty winds are likely at most places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Many areas in Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions may also experience similar weather, with moderately heavy to heavy rainfall expected in some locations.

Temperatures may see a slight drop both during the day and at night, the forecast added.

The country’s highest temperature on Sunday was recorded at 36.3°C in Dimla, Rangpur Division, while the lowest temperature was 23.9°C in Bandarban.

In Dhaka, sunset is at 6:48 pm today and sunrise is at 5:11 am tomorrow.
