A Dhaka court today officially showed former International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) prosecutor Barrister Tureen Afroz arrested in a case over the murder of 12-year-old madrasa student Arafat Hossain during the July-August mass uprising.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate M Mejbah Ur Rahman passed the order after police produced her and sought permission to show her arrested in the case.
Arafat was shot during an anti-discrimination rally in Uttara on August 5 and died at the Combined Military Hospital on December 22. His brother filed the case with Uttara West Police Station.
Tureen was initially arrested from her Uttara residence on April 7 in a separate attempted murder case and was placed on a four-day remand.
