TANGAIL: Two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Ghatail upazila in the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Ratul, 10, son Joynal of Baukhola village under Modhukhali upazila and Motaleb, 35.

Sub-inspector of Ghatail Thana Shahidul Islam told banglanews that a rashly driven a truck crushed into an auto-rickshaw in Haripur area of the upazila around 2:00pm, leaving two passengers of the auto-rickshaw and three others, including driver injured.

The injured were rushed to Ghatail Upazila Health Complex, he added.
