CHAPAINAWABGANJ: A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident at Shibganj upazila in the district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Hakim, 35, son of Manirul Islam and resident of Chakla village of Daipakhuria union.

Local sources said a motorcyclist plunged into a roadside ditch in the area around 8:45am while he was trying to save a goat on the road, leaving him dead on the spot.

However, locals recovered his body from the ditch.

Local Union Parishad Chairman Mohammad Mozammel confirmed this matter to banglanews.
