DHAKA: At least two workers sustained burn injuries in a fire at a laundry shop in capital’s Uttara area on Sunday morning.

The burnt victims are- Azizul, 20 and Razu, 18.

Sources said that the fire originated in the laundry at house no. 1 of road no. 8 in Uttara sector 9 around 5:30am, leaving the two workers, who were sleeping inside the shop, burnt.

Hearing their screams, neighbours rushed to the spot and broke open the shop`s shutters and rushed the workers to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Doctor said Azizul suffered 12 percent burns while Razu 15 percent.
