DHAKA: President M Abdul Hamid on Monday gave his consent in the Speedy Trial Bill (amendment), 2014 which was passed in the current session of the 10th parliament.

Through President’s consent the bill turned into an act. This was the first bill passed in the 10th parliament.

Earlier, the bill was passed in the Jatiya Sangshad stepping up its period to five more years.
