DHAKA: Miscreants shot a person and snatched Tk 10 lakh in Mirpur Section-10 area of the capital on Tuesday noon.

The victim is Abul Kalam, a sales agent of AID Distributors.

Witnesses said a group of miscreants opened fire to Abul Kalam in front of BRAC Bank at Rokeya Sarani in the city while he was going to deposit the money.

Later, they snatched his bag and fled the scene, they added.

Sources also said Abul Kalam sustained bullet injury at his hand and chest while Sayedur Rahman, a private car driver, also sustained bullet injury.

Locals rushed both of them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

DMCH Police Camp In-Charge Sub-Inspector Fazlur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
