DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has commemorated all the deceased workers in worldwide including the victims of Rana Plaza tragedy and paid her deep sympathy to the bereaved families.                              

The premier was addressing a discussion at Osmani Auditorium as chief guest on the occasion of historic May Day on Thursday morning.      

Hasina claimed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had introduced the general leave on May Day and later had taken many steps including wage board formation for workers.

She said when Awami League in power it works for the workers and labours and in future her government will continue it.

Ministry of Labour and Employment organized the programme where minister Mujibul Haque Chunnu presided over.
