1,200 bottles phensedyl seized, 5 held in city

DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) seized 1,200 bottles of phensedyl along with a pickup van and nabbed five people from different areas of the city on Monday and Tuesday.

A press release from DMP media cell made the disclosure on Wednesday.

It said: “Police, lead by Assistant Police Commissioner (west) of detective and criminal information department of DMP, seized 600 bottles of phensedyl along with a pickup van from New Market area on Tuesday.”

In another drive on the same day, drugs rescue team (south) of detectives and criminal information division lead by Assistant Police Commissioner Ruhul Amin Sagar seized 70 bottles of phensedyl and held one from Boro Moghbazar in city.

On Monday, DB police seized 550 bottles of phensedyl from Kamarpara, Lalon Shah and Amin Bazar Bridge areas of the city.
