NOAKHALI: Unidentified miscreants shot dead two youths in Badalcourt Bazar and Dasgharia area under Chatkhil upazila of the district early Tuesday.                    

One of the deceased was identified as Dulal, 25, a transport worker.                     

Local sources said that a gang of miscreants wearing mask shot Dulal in Badalcourt Bazar around 5:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.                             

On the other hand another youth was shot by the miscreants in Dasgharia area of the upazila after a few minutes of Dulal murder, leaving him injured critically.    

He was rushed to upazila health complex where he succumbed to his injuries.     

Protesting the killings, locals and bus workers blockaded the Dhaka-Chatkhil highway from dawn.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Officer-in-Charge of Chatkhil Thana Aminul Islam said that additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to avert unwanted situation.
