DHAKA: A Dhaka court Tuesday granted bail to domestic help Sumi, who was held in a case of SB Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman murder.

Dhaka First Additional Sessions Judge and Children Court granted her bail at noon by giving to custody of his father and bond of Tk. 20 thousands.

The court also directed to present bail bond before it by May 26.

Sumi was produced before the court from Gazipur adolescent development centre.

On August 16, Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman, 48, and his wife Swapna Rahman, 40, were found dead at their Chamelibagh apartment. They were killed on August 14.

The bodies were found in Oishee’s, their daughter, bathroom and they bore several stab wounds, police said earlier.
