DHAKA: The High Court (HC) Sunday stayed the elections of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Kendrio Command Council for six months.
The court also issued rule upon authorities concerned to explain why it should not be cancelled the schedule of the elections.
An HC bench comprising Justice M Moazzem Hossain and M Badruzzamn passed the stay order.
The election to Muktijoddha Kendrio Command Council elections was scheduled to be held on June 4.
