DHAKA: Another indefinite transport strike is going to be started from Tuesday in eight more districts, including Dhaka while north Bengal has already been disconnected since 2-days.
Dhaka Division Transport Owners and Workers Federation called the strike to press their 6-point demand, including a ban on the movement of unauthorized vehicles on roads and highways.
The eight districts are Dhaka, Gazipur, Tangail, Mymensingh, Kishoreganj, Sherpur, Jamalpur and Netrokona.
Earlier, Bus-Truck owner and workers went on strike for an indefinite period in all districts of the northern from Sunday morning enters second day to meet their demands.
The common people and the business traders are facing immense sufferings due to the halt of the transports.
The people of the division feared a massive financial loss, energy and food crises and so on.
The stock of the petroleum is reducing day by day.
The transport workers’ demands are including, the immediate halt of plying of Nasiman, Kariman and other illegal vehicles in the roads, halt of the BRTC buses on lease in upazila level, stop any extortion and Police harassment and so on.
