MOULVIBAZAR: Two siblings drowned in a pond at Raipur village of Kanakpur union under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday noon. 

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately but their ages were between 7 and 8. 

Local sources said a brother and her sister drowned at a pond when they were playing beside pond adjacent to their house. 

Later, family members found them in the pond and recovered the bodies.  

Kanakpur Union Parishad Chairman Mamunur Rashid Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews.
