DHAKA: Two people were killed and another one injured in a road accident in Demra Palmoil bus stand area in city on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Tahmina Khuki, 34 and her grandfather-in-law Kabir Khan, 90.

Family sources said the victims were returning home by a rickshaw around 11:30am. Then a goods-laden truck knocked the rickshaw, leaving the three critically injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared Tahmina Khuki and Kabir Khan dead.
