BHOLA: At least six people were killed and 13 others injured as a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Bhola-Char Fasson road in Janata Bazar area under Char Fashion upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Kanchan, Habib, Saiful, Hadis, Hamir and Anis.

Local sources said a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch as the driver lost his control over steering in the area around 8:00pm, leaving six people dead on the spot and 13 others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Char Fashion Hospital.

On information, police and fire fighters rushed to the spot to rescue them.

Assistant Police Superintendent of Bhola Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
