DHAKA: The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Saturday termed her visit to China as fruitful and a very successful one.
The premier said this at a press briefing at Gono Bhaban on Saturday afternoon.
“Chinese premier Li Keqiang, during the meeting at the Great Hall of Beijing in China on Monday (June 9), assured to help making Bangladesh a developed one,” she said.
China has announced to increase economic help to Bangladesh, to increase amount of scholarship and number of students to Bangladeshi in China, she added.
Awami League president also said, “We will make country into a middle income country by 2021. We are moving forward and with everyone’s help we will move towards our goal to become most prosperous and peaceful country in South Asia.”
Bangladesh and China signed two accords, three MOU’s and two exchange bonds.
Wrapping up her 5-day official visit to China, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned Dhaka at 2:15pm Wednesday.
Commerce Minister Tofael Ahmed, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, PM's Advisor on Political Affairs HT Imam, PM's Media Advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam, Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque and PM's Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury, among others, accompanied the premier during her visit to China.
A 69-member business delegation also visited China with Hasina.
