DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday underscored to attaining skill and competence for avoiding insulting and negligence.
“If expatriate workers attain skills, they get priority and facilities. So, every worker who wants to go to abroad they must have to attain skill and competence,” she said.
The premier, also ruling Awami League president, was addressing the inaugural programme on the occasion of Technical and Vocational Education Week-2014 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the morning.
She said she does not tolerate any insult or negligence to the expatriates in abroad.
Sheikh Hasina claimed that the government is giving training to workers and trying to reduce harass and negligence in abroad.
She urged vocational and technical education institution to make their sincere efforts to take the vocational education to standard position.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Education Secretary M Sadique and Director General of Department of Vocational Education Shahjahan Mia also spoke.
