BHOLA: Two farmers were killed as lightning struck them at Charfashion upazila in the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Jaynal Abedin, 60, of Nuruddin village under Nazrul Nagar union and Nure Alam Nuru, 30, son of Jebal Haque, of Char Fakira village of Hajariganj union.

Locals told banglanews that Jaynal Abedin died in the afternoon after lightning struck him while he was working in the field.

Earlier, thunderbolt left Nuru died on the spot near his house.

Officers-in-Charge of Shashibhushan Thana and South Aicha Samsul Arefin and Tariqul Islam respectively confirmed the incidents.
