DHAKA: A 10-month pregnant woman was neglected by not giving trolley at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Thursday as she had no money.

Monir Hossain took his wife, Mukta Begum, in the hospital for labour pain from Bhasantek Kajoler Tek area in city.

Monir said, ‘There were enough trolleys in the room but the employees didn’t give me any trolley as I had no money for tips’.

Demanding anonymity an employee of the hospital said those who are in-charge of the section take money for providing trolleys.

When investigating the banglanews team saw some hospital employees were sitting on the trolleys.

While contacted with Ward Master Zillur Rahman over cell phone he said he was on leave and would look into the matter after coming back.
