Mirpur Jhut patti fire under control

DHAKA: The fire, which broke out at Mirpur Jhut patti of the capital on Saturday noon had been brought under control.

Five firefighting units put out the flame around 1:30pm after an hour frantic effort, said Fire Services and Civil Defenses officials.

Earlier, the fire originated from jhut (garments scrap) godown near Paris road of that area whether the cause of the fire and extent of damage are yet to be known.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Fire Services control room in-charge Enayet Hossain said that on information, five units of fire fighters rushed on the spot.

After one hour effort, they were successful to douse the fire.
