FROM PARLIAMENT: New pay scale will be declared for government officials by December.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the disclosure in the parliament Saturday while discussing on proposed budget for 2014-2015.
Sheikh Hasina said, “We formulated new pay scale when assumed power in the ninth parliament and now we again formed a pay commission.”
New pay scale would be declared after the commission submits it report by December, she added.
She also mentioned that her government declared and implemented twice the pay scale for garment workers.
