NARAYANGANJ: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Araihazar upazila on Wednesday.

One of the deceased was identified as Khokon, 30, a truck helper who hails from Madaripur.  

Sub-Inspector Manir Hossain of Araihazar Thana said, Khokon was killed as a truck from opposite direction hit the wood-laden truck which carrying him and fell into a road side ditch around 10:30 am, leaving Khokon dead on the spot.

On Chanpara area, an unidentified woman was killed when a bus run over her while crossing the road around 9:00 am.

Officer-In-Charge Alamgir of the Thana said the bodies were sent to the hospital for autopsy.
