MOULVIBAZAR: The rail communications on Dhaka-Sylhet route have came to a halt since Thursday morning as a tree fell on the rail track in Kamalganj upazila of the district.

Several hundred passengers suffered while rail communications over Dhaka-Sylhet route remained suspended from 11:00am.

Efforts have going on to remove the uprooted tree which was fell on the line during the storm, the OC said.

Railway sources said Parabat train from Dhaka remained stranded at Sreemangal Station while Paharika train at Bhanugachh station after the incident.

The rail links remained snapped till filing of this report around 2:40pm.
