KISHOREGANJ: Two minors drowned in a pond at Hajarikanda village under Itna upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Shahidullah, 4, son of Osman Gani, residing in that village and his cousin Mosharraf, 4, son of Abul Kalam.

Locals said that the boys went missing after going to play near the pond adjacent to their house in the noon.

Later, relatives thrown net in the pond and rescued the bodies of the cousins Shahidullah and Mosharraf around 1:30pm.

Itna Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdus Salam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
