FROM PRAGATI SARANI: Workers of adjacent garments joined Tuba Group workers in vandalizing vehicles in Badda, Pragati Sarani area of the city on Thursday afternoon.

They started the vandalism after police pulled them out from the factory firing rubber bullets and teargas canisters earlier.

Sources told banglanews that workers from other factories of that area accompanied Tuba workers in the vandalism.

They started smashing all the parked vehicles including buses, cars, micro-buses after 2:00pm. 

Tuba workers were observing indefinite hunger strike demanding their three months' salary and bonuses since July 28 at their factory in Badda of the city.

Police arrested two worker leaders at that time.
