DHAKA: Veteran photojournalist Rakib Khan passed away on Sunday morning at a hospital in the capital.

The 60-year-old newsman, who breathed his last at the Holy Family Hospital around 9:30am, had been suffering from respiratory problems, his family sources told banglanews.

However, Rakib Khan was living at a rented house with his family in Uttara till his death.

He left behind his wife, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

Rakib Khan had served the English daily New Age last.

The veteran photojournalist also played important role in Bangladesh Photojournalists' Association as an executive member.
