BD Embassy in Tashkent Observes Nat’l Mourning Day

DHAKA: National  Mourning  Day  Program  commemorating  the  39th   death anniversary  of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,  the Father of the Nation, was organized by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Tashkent,  Uzbekistan on  August  15.
 
In  the  beginning of  the  day  the  flag  was  brought  half-mast by Mosud  Mannan,  ndc, Ambassador of Bangladesh. 

Messages from the President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood were read, followed by the presentation on the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Russian Language.

Professor Azat Samatov from the institute of Oriental Studies was present at the event as a discussant.

Gulam Nabi and Himangshu Bikash also spoke on the occasion.

The day was brought to its conclusion by the final address by Mosud Mannan, ndc and dua led by Abdur Rahman.
 
A special publication was brought out on the occasion under the title ‘A tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation’.
