DHAKA: Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu opined that August 21 was the new version of August 15.

The minister came up with the assertion while addressing candle-lighting programme in front of Awami League office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city early Thursday.

He said that the then BNP-led government was involved in the grenade attack of August 21. 

He also said that the accused would be executed after trial within a shorter span of time. 

Juba League Chairman Omar Faruk and others party men were present in the programme.
