DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday sent seven people, including six officials of Oriental Bank (currently ICB Islami Bank Ltd), to jail for different terms.

Special Judge of Dhaka-4 Aminul Islam passed the order in the noon.

The Orient Bank officials are Senior Vice-President Shah Mohammad Harun, Senior Assistant Vice-President Abul Kashem Mohammad Ullah, Assistant Vice Presidents Fazlur Rahman, Mahmud Hossain, Executive Vice-President Quamrul Hossain and Deputy-Director Enamul Haque.

The bank officials were sentenced to seven years imprisonment and fined Tk 1428,572 each.

The other convict--businessman Abu Bakar--was sent to 10 years imprisonment and fined Tk 1428,572.
