SIRAJGANJ: Two people, including a police constable, were killed in two separate road accidents in Salanga and Kamarkhanda upazilas of the district on Tuesday.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Habibur Rahman, 48, police constable of Hatikumrul Highway Thana.

Police sergeant Iqbal Hossain told banglanews that a rashly driven truck rammed Habibur Rahman while he was crossing Hatikurul-Banpara highway around 4:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

On the other hand, an unidentified person aged around 60, was killed as a passenger knocked him down while he was crossing road in Baghbari area of Kamakhanda upazila around 1:30pm.
