DHAKA: The investigative committee formed for Narayanganj seven-murder is quizzing Nuruzzman, Deputy Inspector General of police of Dhaka range.

The probe body started quizzing him in the secretariat from 2:35pm Sunday.

Convener of the committee, also additional secretary of the ministry, Shahjahan Ali Molla and other members of the committee were present in the session.

Earlier, Narayanganj-4 constituency lawmaker Shamim Osman and Mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation Selina Hayat Ivy were quizzed by the probe committee over the seven-murder.

On May 7, the higher administrative investigation team was formed as per the order of the court.

Earlier, Narayanganj City Corporation ward councilor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker along with five others were abducted on April 27.

Their bodies were recovered from the Shitalakkhya River after three days.

Nur Hossain, the prime accused of this incident and his aides Obaidur Rahman and Sumon Khan, whom were arrested from near of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport of Kolkata are now in Indian police custody.

However, police held about 30 persons and seized a micro bus in this connection.
