DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday placed Zakir Hossain Jony on a 5-day remand in connection with Thursday's triple murder in city’s Moghbazar area.

The Investigation Officer (IO) and also Sub-Inspector of Detective Branch (DB) police Bahauddin Faruqi produced him before the court with a 10-day plea.

Metropolitan Magistrate Tareq Moinul Islam Bhuiyan passed the remand order.

Faruq Hossain and Sohel Khan close associates of Kala Babu, the prime accused in the murder case, were placed on a 5-day from Saturday.

Earlier on Thursday night, in city’s Moghbazar area, a group of miscreants shot Ranu, 32, Munna, 22, and Billal, 20, to death over land dispute.
