GAZIPUR: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at east side of Fakir Majnu Shah Bridge of Kapashia upazila in the district on Sunday night.

The deceased were Yakub Ali, 35, son of Khorshed Mandal and Sultan Mia, 33, son of Lal Mia.

Confirming the matter, Kapasia Thana Officer-in-Charge Ahsan Ullah said that the motorcycle, carrying the duo, hit a cotton-laden truck, stationed in front of toll plaza, while they were going to Rayed from Kapasia around 10:30am.

After knocking down the truck, the two bikers fell down on roads, leaving the two dead on the spot.

Police seized the truck, OC added.
