DHAKA: A gang of miscreants shot a youth dead and his father sustained bullet injury in city’s Goran area of the capital on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Sayem, 23, son of Israfil.

Police sources said a group of miscreants shot Sayem and his father and snatched Tk 48 lakh in the area around 8:30pm, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to local hospital first and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared Sayem dead.

Sub-Inspector of Khilgaon Thana Liakat Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.
