Another BD pilgrim dies in KSA

RIYADH: Another Bangladeshi pilgrim, who came to perform hajj in Saudi Arabia, died on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Salam, 77, hailed from Fulgazi upazila in Feni. He arrived in Saudi Arabia through Shanjari Travels and Tours. His passport number was BB-0307022.

Makkah hajj mission sources said that Abdul Salam died of an old age complication at Hotel Al Fajr on Ibrahim Khalil Road in Makkah at 8:00pm (BDST 11:00pm Saturday).

However, with this death, a total of three Bangladesh nationals died in KSA during hajj this year.

Earlier, Mohammad Shahazan Sikder, 71, hailed from Pirojpur district, died of cardiac arrest on Saturday. On September 3, Masuda Khatun, an 82-year-old woman also died of old age complications.

This year, a total of 98,683 people from Bangladesh have got KSA visa to perform the holy hajj.
