KHULNA: Police detained five members of banned Islamist outfit 'Allahor Dal' along with their district chief on Tuesday mid night from a house in Tajpur village under Phultala upazila.

The detainees were identified as Abdur Rahim, 28, Md Selim, 23, Ali Hossain, 24 and Biswajit Debnath alias Mahin Ahamed, 28 and their leader Parvez Hossain, 26.

However, police also recovered four handmade bombs, bomb-making and propaganda materials with some others documents at that time.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Fultala Thana Officer-in-Charge M Elias Fakir said that the detainees were living as tenant there at the house.
