United Air passengers’ woes mounted

DHAKA: Over hundred passengers got stuck at Shahjalal International Airport as the flights operation of United Airways declared shut down from Thursday. 

Hundreds of passengers were seen in the airport those who are waiting for their flights with the hope of new flight schedule.

Mafiz Uddin, Ibrahim and Taiyeb Ali were schedule to go to Qatar and their flight time was at 10:45pm Wednesday but stuck in the airport. 

The passengers told banglanews that they have to face problem if they could not reach their work station in time. 

Assistant Police Super of Airport Security, Motazzer said that passengers fall in trouble as United Airways shut down their flight operations. 

Earlier on Wednesday evening, the flights operation of United Airways declared shut down due to the shortage of fuel and in-flight foods. 

Beside, two directors of the airways resigned as they failed to control the situation.

The mismanagement created after United Airways chairman and managing director Captain Tasbirul Ahmed resigned.

On Monday, Mahtabur Rahman has been appointed as chairman and Shahinur Alam as MD. But they did not join yet that make more insecurity to the officials of the airways.
