DHAKA: Two employees of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd (DESCO) were electrocuted and two others sustained injuries in Uttara area of the city on Thursday noon.

The deceased were identified as Abu Bakar, 28 and Al Mamun Suman, 28.

DESCO Mirpur Zone Engineer Anwar Hossain told banglanews that four people were repairing 11,000 voltage power supply line at Uttara Sector 14 around 1:30pm and, at one stage, they were electrocuted.

All four injured were sent to Uttara’s Bangladesh Medical College Hospital and later three of them were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared Bakar and Mamun dead.

Uttara West Thana Sub-Inspector Nannu Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
