BOGRA: A police man succumbed to his injuries at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Hasan Mahmud Tarek, son of Afzal Hossain Sarker and an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Gabtali upazila of Bogra.

Police Superintendent of Bogra Mojammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier on September 3, he was injured critically as a rashly driven motorcycle knocked him in Shukhanpukur area of Gabtali upazila while he was patrolling on the road.

However, he was rushed to Gabtali Upazila Health Complex and then shifted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 6:10am after fighting for life for 23 days.

His Namaaz-e-Janaza was held at the Bogra police lines yard where SP of Bogra along with other senior police officials and his relatives were present.
