DHAKA: The Election Commission has decided to e-filing all of their information to save those from being missing as it does not have any archive.
EC officials also need not to search piled up folders bound with string for any important document instead they would get everything in one click.
EC sources said many important pieces of information including voter lists of 11 general elections and three referendums are missing.
This is why in 2013, the authority concerned decided to manage digital files in a small scale. Now, the authority has decided to manage e-filing in a large scale, including all the information of EC’s employee management, appointed officials during elections, all returning officers and other authorities, local and foreign observers and information of all previous elections.
Regarding the matter, EC has already formed a three-member committee, led-by a deputy-secretary, asking it to submit reports within October 1.
The committee also was directed to take helps of Cultural Affairs Ministry in this regard.
EC Deputy-Secretary M Motiar Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
