DHAKA: Two members of a family died while another went missing after the boat capsized near Sadarghat in city on Wednesday.

The identities of the deceased are yet to know while witnesses said that they were a woman and her grand child.

Another, who went missing, was the mother of the deceased kid, sources added.

Sources added that the accident took place when a launch knocked the boat down around 11:45am. Four members of a family at that time were on boat to cross the river.

However, the accident left the grand mother and child dead on the spot while the child’s mother went missing and father injured seriously, according to them.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Kotwali Thana officer-in0charge Firoz-al-Zaman said that the injured man has been taken to the city’s Mitford Hospital while forces were sent to the spot.
