DHAKA: The customs authorities recovered 24 pieces of gold bars weighing 3.2 kg and SR5000 from Shajalal International Airport in Dhaka on Friday night.

Assistant Commissioner of custom authority Farid Al Mamun told banglanews that acting on a tip-off they recovered the gold bars and money.

Assistant Commissioner (preventive) Ruhul Amin said they seized the contraband worth Tk1.5 crore from under a seat of an United Airlines jet came from Jeddah.
