GOALANDA, RAJBARI:  Inclement weather forced the authorities to suspend plying of all launches on the Daulatdia-Paturia route in the river Padma on Saturday.

The suspension came to effect at 11:00am of the day.

District deputy commissioner (DC) Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The services will resume after the weather becomes normal, said the DC.

Meanwhile, Met Office forecasted that a 1 to 3 feet high tide may surge in the lower parts of the coastal area as the result of very severe cyclonic storm ‘Hudhud’ in the Bay of Bengal.
