DHAKA: Social welfare minister Syed Mohsin Ali thinks that development programs of the government deserve comprehensive media campaign.

He said that the country witness development under Sheikh Hasina’s rule. But comprehensive media campaign is needed for those.

The minister commented at a discussion program on World White Cane Safety Day on Wednesday.

He said that the incumbent government will produce ‘white cane’ for the visually impaired persons in the country from next year.

He also prayed to the Almighty Allah for not giving the parents visually impaired children.

The minister also urged the nation to serve the people who are physically challenged.

He said that the government will implement Vision-2021 and stand by the destitute people.

State minister for social welfare Promode Mankin, secretary Nasima Begum, social services department director general Mohammad Saidur Rahman, among others, were present at the program that also featured prize giving ceremony to the GPA-5 visually impaired students and cultural event.
