Show-cause notice reaches Latif’s house

TANGAIL: Ruling Awami League has sent a show-cause notice to the expelled minister Abdul Latif Siddique as a part of the final process of his termination from the party.

The post mail, carried by a postman Mohammad Abdullah, reached at Latif’s permanent address in Kalihati upazila town of the district.

Caretaker of the house Hasan Ali Hasu received the mail on behalf of the ousted minister at 10:45am on Wednesday.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Upazila postmaster Ahsanul Haque Shipan said that the notice reached Kalihati Post Office Wednesday morning.

Later, it is sent to Abdul Latif’s house, he added.

Earlier, the then posts, communications and information technology minister Abdul Latif Siddique was ousted both from the cabinet and the party presidium membership for his derogatory remark on Hajj and Tablighi Jamaat.

His party primary membership is also temporarily suspended and decision has already been taken to expel him permanently.
