Tangail road crash kills 5, injures 8

TANGAIL: At least three people were killed and 9 others injured when a passenger bus collided with a truck on Bangabandhu Bridge highway at Gharinda village under Sadar upazila of the district early Friday.

Details of the deceased and the injured could not be known immediately. 7 out of 9 injured are in critical condition.

Confirming the matter, Elenga Highway Police outpost Sergeant Kamruzzaman told banglanews that a passenger bus stopped in the area as a tire punctured around 5:00am. Then a truck from opposite direction hit the bus, leaving three dead on the spot and injured 10 people.

Later, the injured were sent to Tangail Medical College and Hospital where two others succumbed to their injuries.
