HABIGANJ: Rapid Action Batalion-9 members recovered huge amount of bullets from Satchhari under Chunarughat Upazila of the district on Friday noon.

Law enforcers found 8,360 bullets of 7.62 MM, 152 bullets of 303, 517 bullets of 9MM, 425 bullets of 12.7 mm tank at 1:00pm after digging a bunker at forest.

A total of 80 magazines have also been recovered from the bunker.  Among the magazines, two of Machine Gun (MG), 20 of SMG, six of SLR, four of 303, 29 of pistol and 12 bullets of G3 Rifle.

Besides, the law enforcers recovered 11 boxes, including five wireless sets and five radio sets. Of them, five boxes bullets of 2.7mm, six boxes of bullets of 7.62mm.

RAB-9 commanding officer Riyad Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

A case was filed with Chunarughat Thana over the Thursday’s firearms recovery. 

On Thursday, RAB recovered three machine guns from Satchhari forest.
