DHAKA: The second namaz-e-janaza of BRAC University Professor Dr Piash Karim was held after Juhr prayers at Baitul Mukarram mosque in city on Friday afternoon.

Later, he will be buried at Banani graveyard.

Centering the namaz-e-janaza, additional police forces were deployed in the area to avert any untoward situations.

Earlier in the day, Piash Karim’s body was taken to his Dhanmondi residence from Square Hospital mortuary and his first namaz-e-janaza was held at Baitul Aman Jame Mosque there.

On October 13, BRAC University Professor Dr Piash Karim had died of cardiac arrest at Square Hospital in the capital.
